Hailsham FM is operated by Hailsham FM Limited, a not for profit company that is hold an OFCOM licence allowing us to broadcast on 95.9fm from May 2018 to May 2023 inclusive.
The company is run by a voluntary director board, with each director responsible for the overseeing of an area of the stations ‘business’.
These are as follows:
Simon Herbert, Acting Chief Executive & Director (Finance)
Simon is responsible for heading up the board of directors and the station. In his role of Director of Finance, he is responsible for all financial operation of the station and heads up our advertising and sponsorship team.
Chris Ruff, Director (Programming)
Chris is responsible for all the station’s on-air content, including programming, music, production and news output.
Pat Bradley, Director (Engineering)
Pat is responsible for the equipment that keeps us on air. He has lead responsibility for the team who service and maintenance our transmitter plus all studio kit
Helen Lawrence, Director (Personnel)
Helen is responsible for heading up our non-finance admin team, including the staffing of our studio reception. She also has lead responsibility for overseeing the training of new members, as well as company secretary responsibilities for Hailsham FM Ltd.
Vacant, Director (Communities)
This role is responsible for overseeing and developing our interaction with various groups and organisations around the area to get them involved. They also manage our outside broadcast coordinator and web & social media officers.
The following are also on the board as non-executive directors, who contribute to the running of the station but have no overall portfolio or day-to-day responsibilities.
